1. Who we are
GRIT Systems ("GRIT", "Grit Systems", "we", "us") is a brand operated by Digital Business Development Services LLC. We provide a managed website, business telephone, CRM, lead follow up, review and customer campaign subscription for contractors and home service businesses in the United States. Our services are described on this site and confirmed on your demo call.
2. Subscription and pricing
The GRIT service is offered on a month to month plan at $295 USD per month, or an annual plan at $3,186 USD per year paid upfront. Prices exclude any applicable taxes. No setup fee applies.
Monthly subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel any active monthly subscription before the next renewal date. Annual subscriptions cover 12 months of service from the start date.
3. Cancellation and what happens next
You can cancel a monthly subscription at any time before the next renewal by contacting us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period.
Your first monthly payment is collected at signup and the subscription then renews monthly on the same date until cancelled.
When your subscription ends, the Grit provided calling and texting number and your platform access stop with it. Your customer records and conversation history remain yours and can be exported on request. If you rely on a Grit provided number, contact us about porting it before you cancel. Porting is supported where the receiving carrier accepts the number and the account is verified with no unpaid balance, and cannot be guaranteed in every situation.
When your subscription ends, the following remain yours: your domain name, logo, photographs, videos, written material and any other original assets you supplied. The following belong to GRIT and stop when your subscription stops: our templates, website systems, automations, proprietary layouts and connected software infrastructure. While your subscription is active these systems are licensed to you.
4. What is included in the $295 per month plan
The Complete Grit Contractor System is a single package. Every subscriber receives all of the following for $295 per month. Nothing in this list is an optional extra.
- A managed 10 to 20 page contractor website, including hosting, security, maintenance and reasonable ongoing edits
- Foundational on page website SEO
- A local business telephone number for calling and texting
- A contractor CRM with customer records
- A visual lead and quotation pipeline
- A unified inbox for calls, text messages, website inquiries and connected conversations
- Website quote forms connected to the CRM and website chat connected to text messaging
- Immediate new inquiry confirmation and missed call text back
- Automated lead follow up and open quote reminders
- Automated review requests and reminders, with four and five star ratings routed to your public Google profile and ratings below four stars routed to private feedback
- Past customer, referral, seasonal and reactivation campaigns
- Basic lead, call and conversation reporting
- Web and mobile access to the Grit platform while the subscription is active
A full redesign, a second website or a large custom build sits outside the included edits and is quoted separately. Expanded local SEO, advanced SEO, Google Business Profile management, Google Ads and Local Services Ads management, Meta advertising, the AI answering service and advanced custom integrations are optional services priced separately and are not included in the $295 per month plan. Advertising budgets are always paid by you directly to the advertising platform.
5. Your business telephone number
- The local calling and texting number is supplied as part of an active Grit subscription. It is not sold separately.
- The number can be used directly as your advertised line, or your existing line can be forwarded into it. Where it is technically and contractually supported, an existing number can instead be ported so that Grit hosts it.
- Automation such as missed call text back only applies to calls and messages that actually route through Grit. A line that is never forwarded or ported cannot be automated.
- Telephone, SMS and email usage is not unlimited. It is covered by the fair use policy below and heavy usage may be rebilled at cost.
- When a subscription ends, a Grit supplied number stops working and may be released. Numbers are not held indefinitely after cancellation.
- You may request to port a Grit supplied number away before cancellation takes effect. We will support a port where the receiving carrier accepts the number and where the account is verified and has no unpaid balance. Portability cannot be guaranteed in every situation because it depends on the underlying carrier and the receiving provider.
6. Platform, CRM and your data
- Web and mobile access to the Grit platform, the CRM and the lead pipeline is available for as long as the subscription is active.
- Access may end when the subscription ends, and any live automations stop at the same time.
- You may request a reasonable export of your customer records, lead records and conversation history before access ends, and we will provide it in a common format.
- Grit does not guarantee indefinite storage or retrieval of data after cancellation.
- You remain responsible for keeping your own copies of any records your business is legally required to retain.
7. Your responsibilities
To build the site we need timely delivery of business information, photos, branding and required access. Build timelines (typically 7 to 10 business days) begin once we've received the material we need to start.
You are responsible for the accuracy of information you supply and for complying with laws applicable to your business, including consent requirements for SMS communications with your customers.
8. Fair use and usage linked costs
Calling, SMS, email and similar usage is included on a fair use allowance suited to a normal contractor workload. It is not unlimited. Usage well beyond that allowance may be rebilled at cost, and we will tell you before any additional usage charge is applied. Fair use covers:
- Calls and call minutes made or received through your Grit number
- SMS and MMS messages sent and received, including automated follow up and campaign messages
- Email volume sent through the platform
- File, image and record storage inside your account
- Excessive campaign usage, such as repeatedly messaging very large lists beyond a normal contractor workload
- Third party charges passed through from carriers, messaging registries or other providers
- Abuse, spam, unsolicited messaging or any use that breaks carrier rules or applicable law, which we may suspend
We may suspend or limit usage that is abusive, unsolicited, unlawful or in breach of carrier or messaging registry rules.
9. SMS messaging program
Grit Systems sends SMS messages only to people who provide their phone number and opt in. Opting in is optional and is never a condition of purchase.
- Message types: replies to your inquiry, demo scheduling and reminders, onboarding and account or support updates relating to the services you asked about.
- Message frequency varies depending on your inquiry and account activity.
- Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier plan.
- Reply STOP at any time to opt out. Reply HELP for help.
- Support: hello@getgritsystems.com. We reply to support requests within one business day.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- Mobile numbers and SMS consent data are not sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. See our Privacy Policy.
Messaging sent from a customer account through the Grit platform to that customer's own contacts is the responsibility of that customer, who must obtain valid consent from their own recipients.
10. No guarantees
We do not guarantee any specific number of leads, revenue, Google rankings, review totals or advertising results. Results vary by market, business, competition and effort. SEO takes time. Advertising is optional and separate.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, GRIT's aggregate liability arising from or related to the service is limited to the amounts paid to GRIT in the three months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to active subscribers. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
